OTP & Verification
Zaruro uses one-time passwords (OTP) to verify your identity and keep your account secure. All OTPs are sent via secure SMS channels.
Why OTP?
OTP verification adds an extra layer of security to your account. It ensures that only you can log in, confirm bookings, and make profile changes — even if someone else knows your password. Every OTP is unique, time-limited, and single-use.
When You Receive an OTP
- Login — verify your phone number when signing into your account
- Booking confirmation — confirm a new service request
- Profile updates — change your phone number, email, or address
- Payment — authorize high-value transactions
Secure SMS Delivery
All OTP and transactional messages from Zaruro are delivered through trusted SMS channels. Messages include your consent confirmation, spam filtering is minimized, and you can opt out of promotional communications anytime.
What to Do If You Don't Receive an OTP
- Check your mobile network signal — ensure you have active network coverage
- Make sure your phone is not in airplane mode
- Check your SMS blocked list or DND (Do Not Disturb) settings
- Wait 2 minutes and request a resend
- Restart your phone and try again
- If the issue persists, contact support@zaruro.com
Security Tips
- Never share your OTP — Zaruro staff will never ask for your OTP. Do not share it with anyone claiming to represent Zaruro.
- OTPs expire after 5 minutes for your safety. Request a new one if it expires.
- Each OTP can be used only once. If you need a new code, request a fresh OTP.
- Enable SMS notifications to receive booking updates and alerts.
