OTP & Verification
Zaruro uses one-time passwords (OTP) to verify your identity and keep your account secure. All OTPs are sent via secure SMS channels.
Why OTP?
OTP verification ensures that only you can access your account, confirm bookings, and authorize changes. It prevents unauthorized access even if someone obtains your password.
When You Receive an OTP
- Login — verify your phone number when signing in
- Booking confirmation — confirm a new service request
- Profile updates — change phone number, email, or address
- Payment — authorize high-value transactions
Secure SMS Delivery
All OTP and transactional messages from Zaruro are delivered through trusted SMS channels. Messages include your consent confirmation, spam filtering is minimized, and you can opt out of promotional communications anytime.
Troubleshooting
If you do not receive an OTP:
- Check your mobile network signal
- Ensure your phone is not in airplane mode
- Check SMS blocked list or DND settings
- Wait 2 minutes and request a resend
- Contact support@zaruro.com if issue persists
Security Tips
- Never share your OTP with anyone — Zaruro staff will never ask for it
- OTPs expire after 5 minutes for your safety
- Each OTP can be used only once
