Professional Verification

Every professional on Zaruro undergoes a multi-step verification process before they can accept bookings:

• Government ID Verification: Aadhaar, PAN card, Voter ID, or Passport verification
• Address Verification: Proof of current residential address
• Background Screening: Criminal record check where applicable
• Professional References: Verification of previous work experience
• Ongoing Monitoring: Periodic reverification and user feedback monitoring

Only after passing all checks is a professional approved to serve customers on our platform.

Data Protection

We employ industry-standard security measures to protect your personal information:

• Encryption in Transit: All data between your device and our servers is encrypted using TLS 1.3, the latest security protocol standard.
• Encryption at Rest: Your personal data stored on our servers is encrypted using AES-256 encryption.
• Secure Payment Processing: All payments are processed through Cashfree Payments, a PCI-DSS Level 1 compliant payment gateway. We never store your full card number, CVV, or bank account details.

Account Security

Protect your account with these practices:

• OTP Verification: Every login, booking confirmation, and profile change requires a one-time password sent to your registered mobile number. OTPs expire after 5 minutes.
• Never Share Your OTP: Zaruro staff will never ask for your OTP. Do not share it with anyone claiming to represent Zaruro.
• Strong Password: Use a unique, strong password for your Zaruro account and do not reuse passwords across services.
• Log Out: Always log out of your account on shared or public devices.

In-Home Safety

When a professional visits your home:

• All professionals carry government-issued ID and can present it on request
• You can track booking status in real time through the app
• If you feel uncomfortable at any point, you can cancel the booking and contact support
• Your feedback helps us maintain quality — please rate and review every service

Fraud Prevention

We use advanced fraud detection systems to identify and prevent fraudulent activity including fake bookings, payment fraud, and account takeover attempts. Suspicious activity triggers automated alerts and account restrictions.
